I.M. Corinth: With special ecclesiastical splendor and in a climate of spiritual joy and emotion, the worship services were held on the two-day period of August 15 and 16, 2026, at the Apostolic Holy Metropolis of Corinth. Specifically, on the afternoon of Saturday, August 15, 2026, the Metropolitan of Corinth, Mr. Pavlos, presided over the Hierarchical Vespers at the festal Holy Hermitage of Saint Gerasimos in Loutraki, with the participation of the holy Clergy and a multitude of pious faithful, who gathered to honor the memory of the Saint.
At the Hierarchical Vespers, those present included, among others, Officers of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, specifically the Archon Didaskalos of the Genos of the Great Church of Christ and Director of the First Patriarchal Office, Mr. Konstantinos Delikostantis, and the Archon Protonotarios, Mr. Athanasios (Souli) Konstantopoulos, as well as the Senior Commander of the Corinth Guard, Colonel Mr. Nikolaos Koritsis, and the Commander of the Loutraki Police Station, Ms. Martha Mystakidou.
The following day, Sunday, August 16, 2026, at the Holy Cathedral of the Apostle Paul in Corinth, Orthros and a Double Hierarchical Divine Liturgy were celebrated, led by the Metropolitan of Corinth, Mr. Pavlos, and co-celebrated by the most beloved Bishop of Kechries, Mr. Agapios, with the participation of a multitude of clerics.
During the Divine Liturgy, within a climate of special spiritual emotion, the ordination to the Priesthood of the former Deacon, Fr. Angelos Salata, was performed. The Metropolitan addressed the new Priest with paternal exhortations and wishes for the new period of his priestly ministry, urging him to serve Christ, His Holy Church, and the people of God with faith, humility, love, and devotion. The divine word was preached, with the blessing of the venerable Shepherd of Corinth, by the Very Reverend Archimandrite Fr. Iakovos Kanakis, who spoke about the person of the Most Holy Theotokos.
After the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, the Twentieth Holy Memorial of the blessed Metropolitan of Corinth, Kyrios Panteleimon, who was the Shepherd of the Apostolic Church of Corinth for forty-one years, was held.
Subsequently, and with the blessing of the Metropolitan of Corinth, Mr. Pavlos, the most beloved Bishop of Kechries, Mr. Agapios, performed the ordination of the newly ordained Priest, Fr. Angelos Salata, to the office of Economos, wishing him a blessed, fruitful, and God-beloved priestly ministry.
